The first floor at Carabao has become known as 'The King's Room'. Decorated in a victorian colonial style, the room pays tribute to the Chakri Dynasty, which, since 1782, has ruled the country of Thailand.

The King's Room features a large bust of King Rama V, the Great King. King Rama V, Chulalongkorn, reigned from 1868 to 1910. Western educated, King Rama V, was responsible for much of the modernisation of Thailand and indeed, saved it from being colonised by the west after handing over Laos and Nothern Malaya. A lover of Victorian design the King's Room reflects the taste of King Chulalongkorn.

The current King of Thailand, King Bhumibol Adjulyadej, was crowned in 1946 and as such is now the world's longest serving monarch.

With a seating capacity of 30-35, this room is ideal for private dinner parties, celebrations, and corporate lunches or dinners. Audio Visual equipment can be organised to accommodate presentations, followed by lunch or dinner.
